Recital of Recorder and Harpsichord
Recital de Flauta Dulce y Clavecin (Recital of Recorder and Harpsichord) Alejandra Lopera Quintanilla Karen Hite Jacob Alejandra Lopera Quintanilla, of Arequipa, Peru studied composition at the NC School of the Arts, and graduated with honors from the Conservatory Luigi Cherubini, Florence, Italy, specializing in the recorder and early music and studying with the renowned recorder player David Bellugi. She has appeared as soloist with the Symphonic Orchestra of Arequipa, Philharmonic Orchestra of Lima, and National Symphonic Orchestra of Peru and in recitals in Europe, the USA and South America. In the summer of 2000 Karen Hite Jacob traveled to Arequipa to research music in the monastic communities there and performed this concert . Arequipa, Peru and Charlotte, NC have been Sister Cities since 1962.
